Hosted staking allows IDEX node operators to open their nodes to other IDEX holders. In return, hosted node operators receive a portion of the staking earnings from any additional IDEX tokens delegated to their node.
For node operators:
Operate an open node and earn additional staking rewards
Set a custom fee rate to determine the percentage of rewards earned
Hosted staking is a free market, as node operators are able to set the fees on their nodes as they wish. Node operators are capped at a fee of 10%. If a node operator changes their fee the change will not go into effect until the next staking period.
First setup your staking node. Please see the detailed guide if you need assistance.
After setting up your node navigate to the Run a node tab on Staking.
Change your node privacy to public, apply a fee and click save. The fee you chose will be the fee charged to users who delegate to your node. The fees come from their staking earnings.
Confirm your node is public by switching to the delegate tab. Your node should appear under hosts offering their node for delegating.
