Placing a limit order

Step 1

Make sure you have connected your wallet to IDEX and deposited funds to your IDEX account.

Step 2

Navigate to the market you would like to trade. Select “Limit” from the “Type” dropdown. Fill in the price at which to buy/sell the asset and the amount you would like to buy/sell.

Step 3

Once you have entered the order details click the buy or sell button. Your limit order will now show up in the “Active Orders” section.

Note: If using MetaMask or Ledger you must approve the limit order. MetaMask will present you with an approval popup, while the Ledger device will display on the screen the transaction to approve.

Step 4

This order will stay on the order book until it is matched. After the order is matched, the trade will be broadcast to the Ethereum network for settlement.

To see the status of the trade click “My Activity” in the top navigation bar.

• If the trade has yet to be broadcast to the blockchain it will say “Pending.”

• If it is broadcast and waiting to be mined it will say “Processing.” You can click the link to be taken to the transaction details on Etherscan.

• Once mined the status will change to “Complete.” You can click the link to be taken to the transaction details on Etherscan.

Filling a limit order with a Market Sell

Step 1

Make sure you have connected your wallet to IDEX and deposited funds to your IDEX account.

Step 2

Navigate to the market you would like to trade. Select “Market” from the “Type” dropdown. Input the total that you would like to buy or sell in the “Amount” field.

Step 3

Click the Buy or Sell button to initiate the trade.

Note: If using MetaMask or Ledger you must approve the trade. MetaMask will present you with an approval popup, while the Ledger device will display on the screen the transaction to approve.

Step 4

Once the trade is matched it will be sent to Ethereum to be mined. To see the status of the trade go to “My Activity” in the top navigation.

• If the trade has yet to be broadcast to the blockchain it will say “Pending.”

• If it is broadcast and waiting to be mined it will say “Processing.” You can click the link to be taken to the transaction details on Polygonscan.

• Once mined the status will change to “Complete.” You can click the link to be taken to the transaction details on Polygonscan.
